Tag Sets

With Photoshop Elements 3, you can save your entire tag set, or any part of the tag set, as an XML file. Other people can then import this XML file into their catalog, and the tags will be added. This facility makes it possible for people who have created detailed tag sets for a special interest to share this work.

For example, the screen capture at the right shows a tag set I created for boat photos. To add this tag set to your catalog, right-click on the link below, choose Save Target As, and save the file to your hard disk. Then click the New button in the Organizer's Tags pane, choose From File, select the file you saved to your hard disk, and click Open. The tags, as well as the category icon, will be added to your catalog.

If you're curious to see what the XML content of the file looks like, just click the link below (instead of right-clicking) and your browser will show the XML text. The very long numeric string is the data for the tag category icon.
